What A Big Girl!

My Sweet Tori has been wearing panties for two weeks now! She is doing AWESOME! She has not had an accident in about a week. I am so proud of her. I bought her panties a few months ago. She was interested in wearing them, but she was not interested in using the potty! So about two weeks ago, Tori asked to wear her panties and just started going to the potty!

A Preschooler No More

We celebrated Alli's last day of preschool this past Friday. She will start Kindergarten in the Fall!

The picture above was taken on the first day of school in early September. And the picture below was taken on Friday. She has done a lot of growing this year! Alli went to a wonderful preschool. I will miss her school and teachers. She has learned so much. She is very interested in letters and words. She is always writing. She still spends most of her days doing some kind of art work. Lately, her favorite is cutting and gluing, drawing rainbows and painting. She is doing awesome in her gymnastics. In fact, her coach has recommended her for the Pre-team class.

I should add that Alli was "embarrassed" to wear the yellow class shirt. "It is just not something a rock star wears!"

I had the pleasure of chaperoning my friend's daughter's 14th birthday party on Friday evening. It was a swim party with about 50 little teenage girls and boys. I have to admit, I came home appreciating my young daughters so much more. I am so thankful that they want to be around me ALL DAY LONG. I am thankful that I am constantly stepping on some one's toes because they are following right behind me. I am so thankful that they want me to read them a book. I am so thankful that they ask me to come play in their rooms. The teenage years will get here way too soon and they wont want ME around all the time.
Thank you Lord for my three precious girls!

Goodbye Texas, HELLO NEW JERSEY!!!

Yep, you read it right. New Jersey! I can hardly believe it myself, but it is the truth. We will be leaving our wonderful home state and home town to spend some time up North. We have always known it would happen. We just did not know when it would happen. The corporate headquarters of the company Pete works for are located in Somerville, New Jersey. So we will move some where close to that. Pete will be leaving to start his new job in just a few weeks. The girls and I will be up there as soon as he finds us a place to live. We are very excited, nervous and scared- or at least I am. Pete is thrilled and can not wait to start his new job. Alli is excited that she will get to play in snow. Tori is excited to play in the snow because that is what Alli says. And Katie wont even realize that we have moved. I am so sad to leave all of our family and friends. But I am very excited about living in a different place. I am so nervous about Alli starting Kindergarten in a new place. And I am a bit worried about how in the world I am going to keep my house picked up enough to show it to perspective buyers! I will keep everyone posted on what is going on with the move.

FINALLY!

Ok, it has been awhile since my last blog. Other than checking my email and making my move at Scrabble, my computer time has been severely limited. We have so much going on right now. And on top of all the activities, I am trying to prepare myself to leave my girls for SIX DAYS!! Pete won the big Glamour Prize. And this year it will be in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico at One and Only Palmilla. Alli and Tori will be fine. Alli is actually very excited for us to go. She keeps asking how many more days until we leave! It is Katie that I am worried about. She has only had one bottle her whole life! I know she will take one because she will not have a choice, but I just hope she is ok without me. Please feel free to leave any words of encouragement. It helps ease my anxiety and guilt! I am thankful for my wonderful family and friends who are willing to watch our children while we spend some quality time in paradise. They are such a blessing to us.

Tomorrow we have Alli's preschool graduation! I can't believe she will be in Kindergarten in a few months. She is growing up so fast!
Below is a picture of my girls with my sister's kids. Christopher, my nephew, just had his 18th birthday a few weeks ago. And this picture was taken this past week on my niece Kristin's 16th birthday. Jenna, my other niece, will be two next month.
